Questions + Answers

1. How will massage therapy benefit me?

Massage therapy can reduce or eliminate pain, and muscular tension, as well as improve joint mobility, circulation, and lymphatic drainage. You will experience an overall sense of well - being.

2. Do I have to undress completely in order to receive a massage?

You are able to undress to your level of comfort. We are able to do different techniques over clothing. Please keep in mind that during the session you will be completely covered at all times except for the area that is being massaged. If you have any questions please ask the therapist by calling the clinic or at your scheduled appointment.

3. How will I feel after my massage?
Most clients will feel very relaxed and rejuvenated after a massage. If you have received trigger point therapy, or a deep tissue massage you may experience delayed onset muscle soreness.

4. What is your privacy policy?
All information gathered before, during, and after the session is completely confidential. This information will not be released without your written consent.

5. Does my benefit plan cover Massage Therapy?
Please call your insurance company to ensure that massage therapy is a part of your health plan. Madison is a Registered Massage Therapist with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada. The license number required to claim your treatment is on the top of the receipt.

6. Are certain medical conditions contraindicated for Massage Therapy?
Yes. Certain conditions are contraindicated for massage therapy treatments. If you are unsure if your condition would fall under this list please contact the therapist or your doctor. Depending on the condition you may be required to provide the therapist with a written recommendation from your doctor.
